The DeLorme Earthmate GPS PN-20 is a low-cost, high-sensitivity, fully integrated handheld GPS that delivers capabilities previously unavailable at any price. This Earthmate GPS PN-20 Bundle adds new Topo USA 8.0 National and a 1 GB SD Card & Reader, which provides a significantly faster rate of map data transfer from Topo USA than the included cable alone.

My wife bought me the Magellan Triton for XMas and I found it to be hard to use so returned it and bought this one, which I had seen in a Backpacker magazine. I LOVE my Pn20, which has a hybrid topo and street database plus imagery and marine charts. Very sensitive chipset -- love it.

I just bought this GPS with the included Topo USA 7.0 software and my wife is threatening to kill me if I don't stop playing with it. I told her "this is the best wife I never had."

I have loaded topo maps, street maps, aerial imagery, and NOAA marine charts and the device performance in my area (New England) has been better than I see with my Garmin 60csx. But it's the included DeLorme maps and imagery that make this GPS truly astounding. I paid close to $400 for mine but have no regrets as I LOVE this GPS. This is truly the next-generation for handheld GPS. DeLorme makes the best maps -- anyone who has used their atlases knows this to be true. Another thing I like is planning the road routes I want on the included software, loading that route, which I know I can trust because I previewed it, onto my GPS and it beeps and shows Turn arrows for upcomng turns. That's all I really want or need in-vehicle. But using this off-road and also on-water is the true appeal. And ther is no extra mapping software or maps to buy -- it's all here.

I purchased the PN-20 a few months ago and I have nothing bad to say bout it. Delorme offers a great selection of maps which can be downloaded to the unit. Had a great time Geo Caching with my son.

I know DeLorme from their atlases and Topo software but was hesitant about not buying a Garmin or Magellan. But then a friend showed me hers and I was very impressed so I bought one. It is so much better than what I had before -- the maps are very clean and bright, easy to read. the Menu is very intuitive -- I didn't even look at the manual once. And the device uses a very high sensitivity chipset that I later discovered is made not by SirF but by STMIcroelectronics. I did some research on them and discovered that Garmin is planning to use them for many of their future devices, so it sounds like DeLorme may be ahead of the pack on this one. They also make a lot of the latest model chips being used in cars. Anyway, I am VERY happy with the PN-20 and what it allows me to do that I've never done before, which is what hi-tech should be about.

BETTER BUY A HANDFULL OF 4GB SD CARDS IF YOU DONT WANT TO DRAG YOUR COMPUTER AROUND WITH YOU OR TRAVEL MORE THAN 3 STATES A DAY. OTHER THAN THAT ITS A KILLER HAND HELD. BEATS MY MAGELLAN AUT UNIT HANDS DOWN AND GREAT FOR THOSE ATV ADVENTURES.

The PN-20 is everything we wanted. It is absolutely terrific and all it is reported to be. I would recommend it to anyone who spends time in the wilds. We wanted it for back trails exploring, etc. and it is perfect. We are very pleased with our purchase and with TigerGPS. Just wish they sold the lithium travel power pack as well. Had to get it from Delorme directly.
